Human Face & Identity - Stereoscopic perception
This project was aimed at creating portraits through the method of Stereoscopy, which allows a shift into three-dimensional images. With the use of a stereoscope, that separates the viewing capacity of each eye, it creates an overlapping of different images that the brain perceives as one. Portraits of two different people have been taken for each eye. The result is a merged identity of two individuals. Each viewer that looks through the stereoscope creates a new virtual portrait out of two representations of individual portraits. This mental image is in a constant fluid stage.
